I didn't think I was going to like the style of this podcast. But I'm now hooked I love it...it's addictive. It reminds me of the same kind of banter I had with my friends at that age, brought back alot of memories.
Absolutely amazing podcast, the writing is so good and contributes to the immersion of the show, but actors are absolutely bring this show to life. Very gripping and heart wretching story.
I do propose playing a drinking game of "take a drink everytime Karin writes two characters awkwardly starting to talk at the same time" though, but instead of drinks, maybe give someone you care about a socially distanced hug😉
A wonderful slice of life drama that starts out simply enough but soon jumps around across the years and across friendships. It has a wonderful ensemble cast of re-occurring characters that are always a pleasure to return to when the focus new epiodes. The characters and writing always feels real and draws you into their lives and loves and it has an amazing theme song to boot.
There are not enough words or emotions to describe what a vile human Johnno is. The writing is amazing- allows the audience to see that his behavior is constant and across relationships- as is the behavior of abusers in all aspects of life. Loved seeing him called out and having his GF leave upon hearing his history. Enjoying hearing backstories for the characters in S2. This show is a treasure.
I think this is a unique premise with a lot of heart and good characterization. The mystery is alive and well in this story, and it will keep you coming back for more as you try to figure out the protagonist's past alongside her.
