John and Ms. Ranae are true pioneers of the equine related podcast. You can always feel John’s genuine curiosity toward his guests and the unscripted nature of the conversation. He’s had on a bunch of people I would never have known about if not for this podcast and the horse world is a better place thanks to these folks and their interest in growing as horsemen.
Listened to Building Rider Confidence featuring Samantha Shanks-Husbands who reminds the listener to be aware about ourselves, the horse and all that is happening in the environment. Sam discusses her work with the human and horse, helping both to get to the place they need to be to find success with one another. No one seems to be in a hurry and that's how it ought to be.
I am an adult beginner rider, so this podcast gives me the opportunity to learn and feel connected to a community. Thank you for keeping this podcast going!
This is a wonderful podcast that has allot of learning through professional and expert guests to the hosts personal experiences, which also leads to his stories as well as guests. I enjoy every episode. I recommend going through the back catalogue and listening if you want to follow the host journey with his mustang he started, Scratch.
I’ve only listened to one episode—the one about trails, which is what interests me. I like the topics and the ideas, so I thought this might be interesting. But...holy American! Homeless encampments? People throwing stuff at you? Aggressive, attacking dogs?Gunshots (other than hunting—totally different situation)??
