The conversations on When We Talk About Animals often appear esoteric at first, but end up revealing themselves as central to considerations of what it means to be alive and enmeshed in a web of life, laws, and technology on this planet. These are the questions we should wrestle with daily.
My favourite podcast right now. A real treat for anyone interested in how humans and the rest of the animal kingdom live together, apart and among one another. Every episode brings in a brilliant mind, from writers, to scientists, to legal experts, and the hosts have always done their homework, to get the best out of interviewees with their insightful questions. Try Charles Foster (ep 9), Robert Macfarlane (ep 19) and Bathsheba Demuth (ep 28) for starters, but every one is worth hearing.
