So far in my listening, I feel like several guests left their interviews still not fully understanding what happened to them- this alarms me somewhat and seems like a shame when they are getting the opportunity to talk to experts about their scam experience. I’ve heard of this issue from the bigger pockets podcast and forums. The easiest way to keep your property title from being stolen is to put a $100 or so lean on the property. Before the title can be transferred the lien holder has to be contacted to make sure thenkein has been cleared. That puts friction in the transaction to slow or stop it. more
