Super fun and easy listen. Really enjoying the episodes and the most recent one about San Francisco punk has been really interesting. Looking forward to whatever comes next.

  • Love the show

I have really enjoyed these first two episodes, and I love the overall focus of the show on smaller venues. Hopefully you will talk to the heroes there at some point.

One thing I would love you to talk about is how venues (should) make their spaces accessible for people with disabilities. ... more

Q: Do you remember the last show you played in San Francisco?
Ryan recalls playing at the Great American Music Hall in 2004 with his band Trinorth and highlights the unique atmosphere and his feelings of pressure during the show.
John Strohm: From Small Town Hardcore Punk to the Center of the Modern Music Industry.
Q: How do you guide a new artist whose live performances may not translate yet into larger spaces?
I typically wait until artists are fully creatively developed before getting involved. I'm focused on the business side and often help provide risk management.

Q: What was it like growing up in the DIY punk hardcore scene?
It was a modest scene where we created our own fun and even started our own venue, Ricky's Cantina, to bring our favorite bands to town.
