  • WAKE-UP!

I’ve been a long time listener of these guys and realized I’ve never left a review. Some days I cuss their ridiculous take on something. Other days I’m literally laughing out loud, looking like an idiot walking down the road with my headset on. Aslan and Cory love FSU athletics and try very hard to be objective in their coverage of the teams. This is not a heavy Xs and Os podcast, more of sitting around with buddies talking about your favorite team. This is my most listened to podcast, and I lo... more

  • A great listen

Wake Up Warchant is among my favorite podcasts period, and the only Florida State athletics podcast I listen to on the regular. Funny and insightful, likely to meander into other topics that make tuning in to Aslan and Corey a great way to start your day. If you’re a Seminole fan, a hater, or just want to be entertained, this is the pod for you.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

(4/14/26): Final word on spring from coordinators, FSU spring intel with Matt LaSerre
Q: What are your thoughts on the quarterback race after 14 practices?
Matt believes Ashton Daniels still has the edge due to experience, with Kevin Sperry giving him a solid challenge; the race remains close but Daniels is favored to start week one if spring results translate to fall.
(3/26/26): Ashton Daniels has had some moments, should FSU be more aggressive in budget posture
Q: What will it take for Florida State to be considered back among the national elite?
A sustained, championship-level season with consistent quarterback play and a defense that can hold up; also a clear path back to playoff contention, not just bowl eligibility.
(4/2/26): QB comp dynamics, the upshot of Boggs, mailbag
Q: Which position group, if magically improved, would most help the team reach a playoff level next season?
Quarterback, since a top-10 QB generally elevates the entire offense and gives the team a much better chance to win, though defensive backs are also a strong candidate if the QB improves.
(2/19/26): Complaining about the complaining, will Norvell change messaging
Q: What bothers you when it comes to the sentiment of optimists or pessimists regarding the football program?
It bothers me that none of us know how it's going to work out, and those who speak in absolutes are unreasonable.
(2/12/26): Newcomers bringing important traits to FSU, Brian Penksy interview
Q: What challenges did you face during the transitions in your program?
The loss of key players and preparing for the next season were challenges, but keeping the team together was important.
