Ik snap de negatieve reviews niet: de maakster is heel genuanceerd en objectief in het onderwerp gedoken. Dat je de conclusie kunt trekken dat je je, anno nu, niet schuldig hoeft te voelen als je flesvoeding geeft, is duidelijk tegen het zere been van moedermelkers. Maar dat doet niet af aan de kwaliteit van deze podcast!

Zoals een andere luisteraar aangaf, het lijkt alsof de podcastmaker op zoek is naar het antwoord dat het oké is dat zij gestopt is met borstvoeding in plaats van een genuanceerd verhaal. Interviews worden na afloop bekritiseerd zonder dat de geïnterviewde de kans krijgt te reageren. En passant wordt ook slaaptraining nog gepromoot zonder enige wetenschappelijke beschouwing. Ik hoopte op een neutrale beschouwing, maar dit is dat helaas niet.

De podcast begint sterk en de “journalist” positioneert zich als iemand die onafhankelijk de voor- en tegens van borstvoeding vs. flesvoeding onderzoekt. Gaandeweg de afleveringen wordt echter steeds duidelijker dat dit niet het werkelijke doel is. In plaats daarvan lijkt de podcast te draaien om een onverwerkt trauma, waarbij de podcastmaker overtuigingen probeert te bevestigen om een gevoel van spijt te verzachten, omdat zij zelf vroegtijdig is gestopt met het geven van borstvoeding.
