  • Love listening to these guys

I appreciate the solid information and tactics that are discussed. Helps me understand the game better. Only thing I would recommend is maybe a little less arguing on topics. It’s good for there to be a contrarian at times to help see the other side of the coin but it seems like the arguments get a bit heated, drawn out, or are unnecessary.

  • So close

I think you guys provide good insight, but George’s incessantly contrarian, can never be wrong way of talking is just exhausting. Can’t do it anymore.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

League Stats Etc with Mark French
Q: Can you quantify whether the initiative system is better or worse than before using the league data?
Mark discusses that the ideal is a near-neutral impact (around 50% win influence from initiative), and overall data shows initiative provides only a marginal advantage, with smarter players benefiting less due to their higher skill; thus the system seems balanced rather than game-dominating.
Bruns on Grand Narrative
Q: What do we need to do to make joint ops a more fleshed out narrative system?
I think that we should incentivize people to play by creating a system where they can affect the narrative of how the game goes by having worldwide events where people can submit scores.
Bruns on Grand Narrative
Q: What was your introduction to narrative play within Warhammer?
I got my start with Warhammer in general, with Crusade. Competitive became a secondary thing for Warhammer, which eventually took over as my primary, but I've still really kept that love for the narrative Crusade systems that I started with back in 9th edition.
2025 WCW Recap
Q: George, I think I want you to answer first here. What do you think were the things that made it like distinctly different from other large tournaments that you've played at?
Having an extra hour to play your game really takes a lot of the pressure off of it.
Battle Brothers Ben talks Playstyles and Power Creep
Q: Do you think a player should try to find a team that clicks with them?
Yes, a team that fits your playstyle can lead to better performance. Ben found that his Wreckas team clicked with his playstyle at a recent tournament.
