  • This is nothing

Privileged woman with a wealthy husband LARPing as a “journalist” who constantly pretends to be ”busy” and “stressed” while being comped free cruises and dropping such hard-hitting takes like churros taste good.

  • Love it!!

I have so much fun listening to these episodes. I don’t get to go to theme parks as much as I wish I did, so I get to live vicariously through this podcast. It is fun and upbeat, and I wish Carlye were my real life friend - the way she dishes the news and her honest opinions, it feels like she is. Also love the listener calls and the voicemails from her mom. So sweet.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Oh, We Got A LOT of Disney World STUFF To Talk About!
Q: What makes the new Muppets overlay on Rock and Roller Coaster work so well?
The overlay preserves the ride's core adrenaline and structure, but replaces most humans with Muppets, delivering a simpler, smarter, and more cohesive theme that enhances humor and character, ultimately making the ride more accessible and fun for a wider audience.
How Things Work: Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!
Q: How does Macy's approach ideation and brand partnerships for the parade's 100th edition?
Brendan explains that the planning spans roughly 18 months (and longer for the 100th), coordinating across Macy's Studios and many teams, plus early ideation with engineers, designers, and brand partners to ensure the concept can be realized within street-space constraints. The process starts with a concept and builds through art, engineering, and production planning to tell a cohesive narrative while keeping safety and city collaboration at the forefront.
Gab Sesh: April! (Disneyland, Universal Fan Fest Nights, Lots of Life Stuff!!)
Q: What were your overall impressions of Fan Fest Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood?
It's a highly polished, immersive late-night event that combines backlot history with interactive gameplay, making guests feel like part of a living movie while keeping spoilers contained and the experience fresh across multiple nights.
The 7 Disney Planning Rules I Live By!
Q: What's the best way to approach Star Wars Night at Disneyland for a first-timer planning two days in the park?
Prioritize Star Wars Night-exclusive experiences first, then explore other priorities on the following days; if you still want to ride at the end of the night, you can add a ride then, but the key is to focus on what makes Star Wars Night special.
The GOOFIEST Things To Happen At Disney World (w/ Scott Gustin!)
Q: Describe to me your perfect Disney World day.
The host asks for a dream day at the parks, which leads to a discussion about a balanced itinerary combining Classic Magic Kingdom experiences with tranquil evenings at Epcot, underscoring a preference for accessible, enjoyable experiences rather than crowds and chaos.
