  • Cross talk

Great information but tooooo much crosstalk , gets really hard to follow and kind of annoying when they keep cutting each other off .

  • Great car talk show

From the Kia to Bentley, this show covers them all and I’ve listened to each one. Even episodes about a mini-van. Why? Because these two guys are fun to listen to regardless of what car they are talking about. Great chemistry, good information, fun stories and entertaining banter.

  • Fun Car Show with Great Info

Two great journalists and natural podcast hosts that aren’t afraid to talk about the good and bad stuff about all the cars they drive. You get the unfiltered take on cars from some real knowledgeable car guys presented in a witty, funny, and altogether very entertaining podcast package. They have a broad, well-rounded perspective, being from Canada, so you get a little something extra as an America listener. Well worth a listen every week!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 455: Guest Chad Kirchner, 2026 Dodge Charger Six Pack Scat Pack, Hankook Ventus S1 Tire Test Update, Slate Pickup, Polestar Leave U.S.
Q: Is Slate's $25,000 truck actually viable in today's market?
Though the base specs look appealing on paper, the combination of limited battery options, lack of interior features, and dependence on a delicate supply chain makes it a risky bet with a narrow addressable market, especially without dealer networks or strong service support.
Episode 455: Guest Chad Kirchner, 2026 Dodge Charger Six Pack Scat Pack, Hankook Ventus S1 Tire Test Update, Slate Pickup, Polestar Leave U.S.
Q: What makes the Charger a controversial choice as a modern Dodge flagship?
They argue it's a paradox: a large, luxurious two-door cruiser that feels less sporty and more of a personal-luxury coupe, with EV platform integration complicating its identity and potentially diluting the brand's historical performance image.
Episode 434: 2026 Toyota Sienna, The Hornet is Dead, The Bolt Is Almost Dead, Chinese EVs, Listener Questions
Q: Has the automotive industry lost the ability to put feeling back into vehicles because of safety requirements, or are people now just choosing tech over driving pleasure?
The guests agree that modern vehicles have become heavier due to safety requirements and size but suggest that it is exceptional vehicles from the past that could deliver more driving pleasure.
Episode 431: 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S, 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid
Q: Is this vehicle a standout in the electric vehicle market?
No, it seems like it could have been a standout. It's not enough to just make one now; it has to be compelling enough against established competitors.
Episode 426: 2026 Genesis Electrified GV70, Japan Mobility Show, Listener Questions
Q: In the event of an engine fire, should the hood be opened or closed?
Fire departments advise not to open the hood to avoid feeding the fire with oxygen; use fire extinguishers from a safe distance instead.
