Early on New Year's Day, my Dad passed away.
He is the reason The Dream Season Podcast exists, so I felt that he deserved an episode in his honor.

Can’t believe how close to home this story hits for me. Feels similar to my experiences with UConn and my father who is now ill. Sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing. Probably your most real episode to date. Great work
I stumbled across this podcast in March 2023 when I just couldn’t get enough UConn Huskies content. SO GLAD I DID. the reporting and storytelling are unmatched. I feel like I’m connecting all the dots from the piecemeal memory of my 7-year-old self.
If there’s any chance you’re thinking of doing other seasons (We Shocked the World or Maui to Manhattan would be fun!) you’ve definitely got a dedicated listener in me.
I was there from 1985 and lived through most of what has been so well reported here. I was at the VCU game in the NIT and had student season tickets during the Dream Season and the opening of Gampel. As Rod Sellers said about his UCONN experience, I loved every minute of it.
So glad I stumbled on this podcast. Some great history and so many memories coming back to life. Well done. Can’t wait for episode 8. Go Husky Dogs!
Awesome reporting and story telling!
