  • Excellent, the only ‘education’ podcast you need!

How did I not start listening sooner? I have just started from the beginning and in 2 months I’ve listened to 3 seasons! Re listening to Covid lockdown was quite therapeutic actually.

A great listen for all school staff, so funny and all so true.

  • Starting from the beginning

I am starting all the podcasts right from the first one today (Xmas Eve 2025) not sure how long it’s going to take me but whatever I’m doing, cleaning, gardening, cooking, sunbathing, I will be listening to the two Mr P’s!

  • School days and all things in between.

Love this, as someone who works in education I can relate so much to this. Lee & Adam (The Two Mr P’s) are so funny, the way they tell the stories that have been shared with them and their sibling banter is top notch. I look forward to each new episode every week and it makes driving home so much more pleasurable.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Teacher Burnout: What Needs to Change?
Q: What concrete steps can schools take to start improving wellbeing now?
Start with the six Cs as a roadmap—prioritize connection and care, create predictable schedules, ensure meaningful CPD and autonomy, and foster a culture where staff can set boundaries and feel supported by leadership.
Teacher Burnout: What Needs to Change?
Q: What are the main causes of poor well-being among teachers today?
Workload remains a major driver, but it's the combination of increasing pupil needs, parental pressures, funding constraints, and insufficient staffing that amplifies stress and reduces capacity to support students and staff.
Teacher Burnout: What Needs to Change?
Q: So for those of you who might not be aware of your work, what do you actually do and how did you come to do it?
I work one-to-one with teachers and school staff to improve their mental health and well-being, deliver staff workshops, and support schools on leadership-level well-being strategies, moving beyond generic tick-box exercises toward practical, systemic change.
From Classroom to Commons with Dave Robertson MP
Q: What's your biggest hope for education policy in the near term?
My hope is to secure stronger accountability and funding for academy trusts, ensure inclusion is central in school planning, and push for policies that support teachers so they can focus on delivering high-quality education without being bogged down by administrivia.
From Classroom to Commons with Dave Robertson MP
Q: What would a typical week look like for you as an MP, and how does your teaching background inform that schedule?
A typical week blends constituency visits, meetings with police and local partners, and parliamentary duties. My teaching background helps me stay grounded, think on my feet, and explain complex topics in accessible terms, which is crucial when discussing policy with ministers or constituents.
