A wrestling podcast from people who hate wrestling basically kink-shaming wrestling fans for being wrestling fans is a curious choice. There presumably needed to be a place for whatever fans might want to experience the verbal equivalent of a bdsm session. Their psycho-romantic fantasies of the wrestlers amuse themselves and there’s always a charm to friends enjoying themselves so chase that joy if that’s your vibe.
I’ve gained such a deeper understanding of pro wrestling listening to these 3 ladies talk about the stories in ways I’ve never viewed it before. Highly recommend for anyone that likes fun
I have been watching wrestling since 1998 and have been listening to podcasts since 2013. This has become my favorite podcast since starting to listen a few months ago. The general online discourse surrounding wrestling is so exhausting - focused on ratings, who is over and who is not - which is discussed through thinly veiled biases of the hosts. This podcast is so refreshing because it doesn’t take itself seriously and brings fun back to wrestling discussion. It is a highlight of my week!
Whatever your favourite podcast is for wrestling analysis is, you should pair it with Tunnel Talk. They have the most refreshing takes as they think outside the typical “smart” wrestling fan matrix and understand character building & episodic storytelling better than any wrestling podcast. Not to mention they’re a ton of fun to listen too!
A refreshing podcast that isn't afraid to say they don't know stuff but are passionate about the stuff they do, I respect wanting of wrestlers to be deeper in their storytelling. Gas stations are a good place to do wrestling. 10/10. Allie Lea and Anne are super personable and very endearing.
