I am so thankful to have found the discussion on second wounds and revictimization. How long have sexual assault or abuse survivors suffered with carrying further shame than necessary or have been confused about their symptoms because this is not part of discussions or information that doctors give you. I am so glad I better understand what I’ve been struggling with when minimization of my experience has caused real impacts to my life. Thank you for this information and community and giving surv... more
This podcast has the power to soothe and validate survivors in a way I haven’t found anywhere else. The rawness, honesty, and strength is palpable and inspires you to find those same qualities from within. This is a true gem, one that I’ve turned to many times and found the solace I so desperately sought from the ones whom I I thought loved me, the perpetrators of my own second wound. Thank you, Miranda- you are such a hero to fellow survivors! Give this podcast a listen- I promise you won’t reg... more
Wow - what a beautiful podcast. The insight, affirmation and healing journeys that Miranda and her incredible guests share have been so helpful for me in navigating my own healing journey. Highly recommend!
I am so grateful for the solace I’ve found in this podcast from across the pond. It’s a relief to know that I’m not alone when dealing with family estrangement following childhood abuse. Thank you.
As a survivor, I find it very healing and comforting to be able to hear about topics regarding childhood abuse from amazing survivors of childhood abuse. I absolutely love it. I would like to suggest an episode talking about how memory works when one endured childhood sexual abuse from an early age as it is something I believe would benefit us so much to understand more. Congratulations on your amazing work!!
