  • Spellbinding….

    I’m a great fan of True Story live events and to be able to listen to the best of them again afterwards is such a joy. To my great surprise there are story details I missed at the live events. Hearing them again adds so much more. Prepare to cry and to laugh, but most of all to be in awe of these amazing story tellers.

I decided to go after realizing I wouldn’t be able to live my life fully in Russia due to the dangers of being part of the LGBTQ community.

Initially, I was upset and frustrated after conversations with my mom. However, writing it helped me appreciate aspects of our connection.

No, that wasn't the case before. I thought her views were outdated, but later realized she has her own experiences shaping her perspective.

The meaning of this story for me is in the very end, where I talk about how hatred is never pacified by hatred, and you have to find ways to connect with people you love, because that's more important than anything else.
