Great banter and I can only assume much more interesting that actually watching Top Chef
Need I say more? Jeez, it's even funny.
Initially, I hesitated to listen to the show since I've never seen a single episode of Top Chef. I'm very glad I didn't let that stop me. Merlin, Max, and Alex have a great time discussing so much more than just a tv show, and when they do discuss the Top Chef, they cover it in a way even a non-viewer can appreciate. Between the delightful digressions and some very brave stances on issues of the day, this show has it all.
I now watch Top Chef only as a supplement to my enjoyment of Top Scallops. Merlin, Max, and Alex take the discussion far beyond a simple recap. You can get a recap anywhere. Come to Top Scallops for analysis and silliness. My only hope is that they'll bring Top Dress into the series. Maybe with the addition of Ihnatko?
Three of my favorite Internet people talking about Top Chef every week? It's fantastic. Merlin and Max and Alex are great when they are talking about Top Chef and even better when they talk about cats for half an hour. I'd never watched Top Chef before listening to the podcast and now I begrudgingly watch it each week so I'll have context for Top Scallops.
