  • “Climate Realism” in the same way Jurassic Park was a documentary

Tom Nelson calls himself a “climate realist,” but this show is realism in the same way pro wrestling is journalism. A revolving door of cherry-picked contrarians, half-baked talking points, and smug gotchas like “what’s the ideal temperature for Earth?” Spoiler: it’s not 3°C hotter.

If you like your science with a side of conspiracy and your skepticism untethered from data, this pod’s for you.

Otherwise, maybe try a source that doesn’t confuse YouTube comments with peer review.

  • Explainer for the climate crisis by scientists

Tom Nelson continues to collect climate scientists and others who have spent a lifetime working on the physical science and allows them to share their thoughts and explain using scientific principles climate change what is driving it and what is not.

I have consumed a lot of climate change content and it is so rare to actually have scientists to talk about and explain the underlying processes driving climate change. Compared to most, it is focused on analysis as opposed to activism about a cli... more

Great interview with Dr. Tammy Nemeth! I really enjoyed that discussion -- an interesting perspective. I also liked the presentations from Willie Soon and the Connelly's about the data corruption. Robert Bryce is also a favorite. Keep them coming!

Alvin Wong: Volcanic Eruptions and Extreme Weather | Tom Nelson Pod #367
Q: Was there some warning ahead of time, like to forecast five or ten days out?
Predictions existed for a strong tropical cyclone forming and affecting Hong Kong, but not for the hefty rainfall caused by additional volcanic effects.
Alvin Wong: Volcanic Eruptions and Extreme Weather | Tom Nelson Pod #367
Q: Do you think we know enough about the effects of these volcanoes now that if a Hunga Tonga like one occurred again, we could take all the data that we get in the first few days about exactly what happened and then make predictions 30 days out in the future?
The Hunga Tonga eruption provides a good data for the prediction model and suggests that we can assess the impact of volcanic eruptions in the future.
Ralph Pezzullo: “Stolen Elections” | Tom Nelson Pod #368
Q: Is there any hope for accountability among those who facilitated election fraud?
Yes, there is potential for indictments and investigations, but rooting out corruption will take significant time and effort.

Various citizen groups and lawyers are working to clean up the voter rolls by removing deceased individuals and ensuring accuracy, although they often face challenges from officials.
Paul Burgess: “Explaining Every Temperature Change from 1983 to 2025” | Tom Nelson Pod #365
Q: Can you predict the next five years?
I can't because it's actually a tool that explains how the temperature that year was made up.
