Mac takes each case and shines the lights on the person/s involved and the challenges and rewards of each. She has knowledgeable professionals skilled at finding the needle in the haystack everyone misses. I leave each time filled with answers to questions I didn’t know I had. Her richly described images bring every scene to life almost like I’m walking along side looking for clues to the case. Never a dull podcast, ever. Great work, awesome person Mac is the best.

Zack Gillham in The Zone 6-25-26
Q: Zack, before the World Cup, how popular in the United States has soccer betting been, and is there an uptick in interest that might stick around?
Zack explains that popularity grows when the US team is competitive; interest fluctuates with team performance and game timing, and World Cup viewership and engagement tend to boost betting activity, with a notable uptick when the US is in contention.
The Zone Thursday 06/25 Hour 2
Q: What is NIL and how does it tie into stadium branding?
NIL stands for name, image, and likeness, allowing athletes to earn money from their personal brands, and universities leverage branding deals and sponsorships to fund NIL-related expenses and to support programs; this can directly tie to sponsorships around stadiums and events.
The Zone Friday 06/26 Hour 1
Q: What did you think about the USA's approach to the World Cup group stage despite not advancing as expected?
Hosts discuss how strategic resting and squad selections mirrored college football bowl dynamics, emphasizing long-term player development and the importance of preparing for the knockout rounds.
The Zone Tuesday 06/09 Hour 1
Q: What are NIL and gambling talks currently teaching Layton and Wes about preparing for college basketball at the next level?
They stress fit, development, and the need to handle business and marketing matters responsibly, with a focus on education through a hired advisor to guide NIL positioning and prudent financial decisions, rather than chasing money alone.
Tennessee Baseball Announcer John Wilkerson
Q: What do you think about the benefit of the SEC tournament for Tennessee and Arkansas?
The guest explains that the value of the SEC tournament depends on whether a team feels secure about hosting or advancing; for teams on the host bubble, it can still be important, but for others it may not be earth-shaking, so the emphasis is on winning today while also considering pitching rotations for NCAA regionals.
