Mac takes each case and shines the lights on the person/s involved and the challenges and rewards of each. She has knowledgeable professionals skilled at finding the needle in the haystack everyone misses. I leave each time filled with answers to questions I didn’t know I had. Her richly described images bring every scene to life almost like I’m walking along side looking for clues to the case. Never a dull podcast, ever. Great work, awesome person Mac is the best.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Tennessee Baseball Announcer John Wilkerson
Q: What do you think about the benefit of the SEC tournament for Tennessee and Arkansas?
The guest explains that the value of the SEC tournament depends on whether a team feels secure about hosting or advancing; for teams on the host bubble, it can still be important, but for others it may not be earth-shaking, so the emphasis is on winning today while also considering pitching rotations for NCAA regionals.
Tom Murphy in The Zone 5-15-26
Q: What about the broader program decisions and leadership?
The hosts and Murphy touch on perceived management moves around tennis funding and leadership, with opinions that the administration could have communicated more clearly.
Tom Murphy in The Zone 5-15-26
Q: What stood out in the recent Kentucky game and the bullpen usage?
He points to the late-inning pitching changes, the key errors and the bullpen's struggles, yet emphasizes Arkansas's resilience and potential to bounce back.
Tom Murphy in The Zone 5-15-26
Q: What is the outlook for Arkansas softball vs Fordham?
Murphy notes Fordham's strong regional run but suggests Arkansas holds advantages in pitching, hitting, and defense, while warning that the regional format leaves room for upsets.
Carson Brumbaugh in The Zone 5-14-26
Q: Do you ever wear flip-flops with jeans? Yes or no?
Flip-flops with jeans? Absolutely not.
