Great actual play podcast featuring the best D&D system!! Has just the right mix of role playing and fighting. I’m more of a hack and slash fan and most of the AP podcasts are now too book like and focus on the story and characters too much with not much action. This AP podcast is a good mix of both. Missing RFI and this really helps fill the void and makes my daily commute tolerable! Been playing/DMing since 1978 and continuing to this day. Appreciate all your work with this podcast and the pas... more
I was a fan of the Roll for Initiative Podcast and super sad when it finally went off the air after 10 years. Figured my AD&D 1e fix was pretty much gone. Then I saw one of the hosts converted his 5e actual play podcast to AD&D 1e and I was super excited! So far we have a few episodes up for season 2 and I love how its old school with all the same characters from the first season (I went back and binged them all). Good show. For those wondering, first season had a chracter that didn't make it in... more

I haven't listened to season 1 yet, as the DM says season 1 is all 5e and at this point would be backstory for those who want to know more about the players and characters themselves. I am not sure... more
This is a great podcast that is more realistic than other real play casts that seem almost “scripted”. Both the characters and players are enjoyable in their exploits and banter. This has been a wonderful casual listen for me when I need a few laughs.
