  • This used to be one of my favourites, where I'd come to hear a genuine debate of ideas. Now I'm deleting it. It used to be fun hearing Bomber go over the top and provoke the right and now he just gets on people who agree with him and so the whole shtick is just irritating at best. It's like the carnival ride Gravitron where left wing politicians get in a circle and spin around vomiting and have it all fly back in their face. Either that or a circle and a biscuit...

  • Radical middle no more.

What happened to Damien? He was the only one that made Martin’s crazed left wing rants remotely tolerable. This show used to do a good job of allowing a range of views to be expressed. It seems it’s now a TPM production. Such a shame.

  • Terrible

I knew it would be worse when Damien left but I didn’t know it would be this bad. Such a shame a good podcast was ruined.

Bomber! Sort the audio bro!!! Invest in some compression to bring the quiet talkers more in level with the shouty people. Unless you’re listening in a quiet room, its hard to hear what everyone is saying.

Apart from that, Bomber is doing great work and it’s a great listen.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Speaker Gerry Brownlee on Parliament Haka Fallout | Panel - Sir Roger Douglas, Craig Renney, Peeni Henare, Matthew Tukaki | Bradbury Group
Q: Why was it important to refer Hanna Rafferty, Rawiri and Debbie to the Privileges Committee for their haka?
It was imperative because the disruption during a parliamentary vote is intolerable, and it impeded the democratic process.
Professor Welby Ings, Unemployment & NCEA | Panel - John Tamihere, Maria Slade, Max Harris | Bradbury Group
Q: What do you say to parents and grandparents who feel frustrated at the lack of information NCEA report cards give them?
They're asking about how their child is learning because they look after their education outside of school.
Professor Welby Ings, Unemployment & NCEA | Panel - John Tamihere, Maria Slade, Max Harris | Bradbury Group
Q: What should our education system be doing? Creating critical thinking citizens or worker drones?
We have to have both of those things. We have to discern the truth from falsehood.
Professor Welby Ings, Unemployment & NCEA | Panel - John Tamihere, Maria Slade, Max Harris | Bradbury Group
Q: Will we see a return to scaled grades that automatically fail some students?
It's up to us to stop that. We have to stop that because that is a toxic thing to do.
Youth Vote Scandal & NZ Economy | Panel - Chris Penk, Maria Slade, Matthew Tukaki | The Bradbury Group
Q: Lincoln, you were Willie Jackson's Youth MP. Can you please reflect upon last week's Youth Parliament and the allegations of censorship by some?
Lincoln Jones highlighted that many speeches were edited by the Ministry of Youth Development to remove criticisms of current policies, suggesting a significant limit on free expression.
