  • Ignorance is NOT bliss!

Extremely helpful info about the real nature of cyber tech and how it is designed to deceive and subjugate us. Offers realistic solutions to the challenges presenting by tech "ecosystems."

The device or laptop you buy from Apple or Microsoft or Google or Samsung is no longer a stand alone tool that you own, to do with as you please. Noticed that the tech companies don't refer to you as a "owner" of their product, but rather a "user."

  • A worthy successor to Michael Bazzell

Gabriel Custodiet gives a good basic rundown on what you can do to protect your privacy, without going too technical. He also goes over a lot of the reasons why you would want to protect your privacy. I hope he doesn't drop off the Earth the way Michael Bazzell did. We need him.

227 - Sparrow Wallet: Craig Raw & Silent Payments
Q: What are the main challenges with receiving to Silent Payments addresses?
Receiving requires scanning the blockchain to identify payments, which is computationally heavy; Sparrow mitigates this with a backend server and reduced data sets, significantly speeding up lookups when connected to the public server.
227 - Sparrow Wallet: Craig Raw & Silent Payments
Q: How can Silent Payments be implemented in Sparrow Wallet?
Implementation separates spending and receiving, starting with the sending side; Sparrow Wallet supports Silent Payments via a dedicated wallet mode, with future hardware wallet integration and standard verification to ensure the correct on-chain address is used.
227 - Sparrow Wallet: Craig Raw & Silent Payments
Q: What is Silent Payments and what is it doing for Bitcoin users?
Silent Payments creates a static payment address that maps to a unique on-chain address for each transaction, preventing others from linking transactions to the sender or recipient and thereby reducing address reuse and improving privacy.
225 - Expats Everywhere: All Who Wander
Q: What should potential expats know about the visa process and practical hurdles?
Key hurdles include visa appointment backlogs, the requirement for a lease for residency applications, and housing scarcity; hiring local help and planning ahead can ease the process.

Q: What makes Portugal an attractive destination for expats today?
Portugal is appealing due to its visa options (D7 and D8), cost of living, climate, safety, language ease for English speakers, and the opportunity to gain residency leading to eventual citizenship under evolving laws.
