Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

S1E3 (VIDEO): Red Tide. The Mentalist Rewatch (Leah Andrew)
Q: Leah, do you have a specific episode or even season that really sticks out in your mind from the show?
One that immediately comes to mind was a sort of a nice conflation of real life and art. Within a two-week period, I got married in real life and got married on the show.
S1E2 (AUDIO): Red Hair and Silver Tape. The Mentalist Rewatch (Amanda Righetti)
Q: Was there something you were directed to do or rolled with in the first few episodes that was not necessarily on the page to get to your character?
Yeah, some of the computer stuff in the beginning wasn't actually scripted; it was suggested to me during filming.
S1E2 (AUDIO): Red Hair and Silver Tape. The Mentalist Rewatch (Amanda Righetti)
Q: How do you feel about the show still having such a following 15 years after it started or 10 years after it finished?
I think it's a real testament to what Bruno and Chris put together. You know, a really great cast and a great crew and an amazing writing staff.
S1E2 (VIDEO): Red Hair and Silver Tape. The Mentalist Rewatch (Amanda Righetti)
Q: Was there something that you were directed to do or rolled within the first few episodes that was not necessarily on the page?
Some of the computer stuff in the beginning; I didn't realize it was going to lead to Van Pelt being considered a computer geek.
S1E2 (VIDEO): Red Hair and Silver Tape. The Mentalist Rewatch (Amanda Righetti)
Q: Do you remember the first time that we all met?
I don't remember my first read for some reason, but I do remember going into Studio and Network and feeling really nervous during the audition.
