I enjoyed this podcast (and your books) and I couldn’t agree more with you about AI. For me, photography is about getting out and observing the world and I simply don’t see the point of promptography (a great word). But some people seem to think that photography is about winning competitions - so, they will use AI to create images according to the formula that does well in competitions. Competitions kill creativity IMO.
Food for thought. This is an interesting and balanced outlook on a very interesting topic.
Photography is an art form that for over 150 years has been produced by humans and Niall puts forward an argument for development but as his own writing makes note of - it is produced by Human Intelligence and as long as this is indicated in attributing the source of the image , I.e AI or HI there can be a level of acceptance of the image .
