Quite a wonderful audio drama with the right amount of mystery and creepy stuff! Morgan Knox is an amazing protagonist, I love that she's, well, a human disaster, but still wants to do the right things. It was great to learn about her past, her motivations. While it isn't a full cast drama, give it a chance and I'm sure you'll like it a lot!
The story is narrated almost entirely from the main character’s perspective which fits great with the noir theme, but seems not to fit the podcast medium well. It was a good story, but I had to listen several times to follow the storyline.
This was a difficult story to tell via podcast I think. Although, the necessity of imagination to bring the horrors to life works really well here. That being said, the sound effects, incredible music, and voice talent made this a top tier listen. Thank you for bringing us stories that don’t rely on stereotyping any gender or race to create characters we can really care about! Loved it.
Although fun this show has the poorest editing of any podcast out there
Nice gritty noir story, enjoyed it. Personally I would prefer a bit less narration but I understand there could be budget constraints.
Excellent story arc, character development and superb acting. Love love love
I loved it. Such entertaining drives to and from work this week. Thank you!!
“America is mean. American is racist.” Those are sentiments that are all over this story. Do better with your writing.
I’ll start off by saying I have listened to a lot of the podcasts from realm and enjoyed the vast majority. This story however did not seem to grip me like so many other stories I’ve listened to and it was disappointing.
I found while listening I was often a little bored with the story and my attention wasn’t as focused as it usually is.
The story had plenty of details but lacked any suspense to help build up to the main climax. It’s almost as though it has aspects of very interesting genre... more
only a few chapters in but its fantastic, well done i love it
The perfect remix of noir detective story and lovecraftian horror!
I love almost all of the Realm podcasts. This one however, not a big fan.
It seems super unrealistic for the time period. I know it’s fiction and all, but I would expect some realism.
The show has amazing characters and details that goes with a good and original plot. Every now and then the sound might glitch but I dig the show
Story line is great but you should warn listeners that they have to subscribe from episodes 6 onwards to continue listening before getting invested. Love to give you 5 stars but kinda frustrated here that it stops at episode 5.
Noir mystery with paranormal element, yes please
