  • Does the podcast choose the listener, or the listener the podcast?

The Old Kingdom is one of my favorite series, and I was delighted to find this podcast — even more so when I realized Alex and Zack are running a queer-friendly, race-conscious operation while in this fantasy landscape so often dominated by the same faces and sexual persuasions. • Good Podcast

I love the books and my younger teenage daughter does too. The discussion around the chapters isnt drawn out and ponderous.

Since I’m a dad and my younger daughter and I listen to the podcast together, I could do without all of the profanity. A young adult novel may attract younger listeners so its cringy.
