  • May الله ta’aalaa reward everyone involved in the production of this podcast

    From Ustashi Dr. Shadee Al Masry just spitting nothin’ but facts, to the patreons paying even the smallest tier, to the renters living in the rooms (above?); may الله reward you all immensely. My Dua is nothing compared to the angels who already make Dua for you, I just want to send you my appreciation - which means nothing.

  • LOVE THIS PODCAST

    Can you guys bring back the whole team? I like solo Shaykh Shadee because he’s witty and funny on his own but there’s a different experience listening to him crack on with his boys (Sidi Alex especially - he needs his own podcast wallah).

    Best Shaykh to grace the internet. I hope you guys realise this platform and everybody behind the scenes who made it possible thank you. This has enlivened me and my besties discussions and got us to read up on our deen. I’m now a hafidh al quran now

The Sifat Model of Personal Development || NBF 579 || Imam Safwan Eid
Q: What is the central aim of the sifat structure of self-development?
The aim is to acquire divine-like qualities and states that reflect Allah, rather than merely performing outward religious acts; outward efforts should lead to inward transformation, guided by Allah's will.
The Jinn With Us All the Time || NBF 583 || Dr Shadee Elmasry
Q: Do you need to join a Tariqa to avoid ego disaster?
Not necessarily; the path is to study, seek knowledge from qualified teachers, and maintain personal accountability and Dhikr, ensuring guidance is taken from legitimate sources rather than ego-driven groups.
The Jinn With Us All the Time || NBF 583 || Dr Shadee Elmasry
Q: Is it permissible to translate al-sifat al-khabariya?
Translations vary; scholars debate whether to translate divine attributes literally or with interpretive terms, noting that fiqh and aqidah should be grounded in established orthodox interpretations.
The Jinn With Us All the Time || NBF 583 || Dr Shadee Elmasry
Q: Question about wahdat al-wujood.
Wahdat al-Wujud is discussed as a perspective that is reconciled with wahdat ash-shuhud, emphasizing oneness of existence and witnessing while warning against misinterpretation; it is presented within the framework of orthodox Aqidah with Ibn Arabi's explanations filtered through Shadiliyya/aqidah.
Jamaica Trip & Shaykh al-Jaylani || NBF 569 || Dr Shadee Elmasry
Q: Are there people following the path of Junaid similar to Qadari, Shadlis?
All Sunni Sufis follow the path of Junaid to some degree, emphasizing the bound nature of spiritual development to the Book and Sunnah.
