  • Going downhill

The show has gotten worse since going mainstream on 101. There are too many ads and boring sponsored interviews with other media people. Gabe segments are awful and should be fast forwarded through.

  • Needs a CSN Simulcast

I love this show, and I see great potential. This has a Boomer and Carton sort of feel and definitely the top rated show in the area. The humor is more my speed and it’s the teams I care about, with a couple of hosts I grew up watching on their nightly news programs. I think the Cardinals Sports Network, CSN will have this as a simulcast when the time comes where that’s a thing ha!

  • Ugh.

Overcaffeinated hosts who are constantly talking over each other to desperately reach for the most glib and sarcastic comment they can find is a lousy way to start the day.

There are simply too many voices (how many people are in the booth?) trying too hard to be edgy. And the evolution of the station's morning show that's now attempting to provide cultural insights outside of sports simply doesn't work.

Yes, it's tough to make a go of FM sports radio in this age of broadcasting, but this sh... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Great Brad Thomas (Hour 2)
Q: Was there ever, or is there anything that would ever convince you or entice you to come back?
Brad Thompson suggests that any decision would be highly personal and context-driven, with family and long-term commitments likely outweighing a short-term opportunity, implying that a return would depend on a compelling combination of circumstances.
With Expectations Come Limitations (Hour 4)
Q: How soon can you move on from a really tough major league loss?
Doug explains that mental toughness and memory are crucial; you acknowledge the loss, analyze, and then shift focus to the next game, keeping a short memory to stay competitive.
Polar Program (Full Show)
Q: What was the logic behind the getaway day lineup being rested to prepare for 17 games in 17 days?
Brad Thompson explains that resting key players like Wynn, Walker, and Burleson is intended to preserve health and maximize performance through a grueling schedule, even if fans prefer watching the stars every game.
A Soupy Surprise (Hour 3)
Q: Jeff Suppan, what was the reasoning or feeling behind the Navy cap controversy during your 2006 NLCS start, and do you think the hat impacted performance or perception?
Suppan responds that uniforms and caps are part of a larger routine and superstition topic; he explains his approach to wearing home white or road gray as a personal preference and notes the importance of consistency, while acknowledging how debates about apparel can become a broader media and fan discussion.
Master Show (Full Show)
Q: What was your assessment of Jordan Walker's breakout start to the season?
Brad Thompson and Mike McGreevy describe Walker as exceptionally talented with a quiet, repeatable swing, strong plate discipline, and the ability to wait for his pitch, which has driven his rapid improvement and confidence at the major league level.
