  • A welcome addition to Royal Podcasts

Randomly stumbling upon Tom Sykes last year on YouTube has led me to a must listen podcast. Tom is a veteran of Royal Reporting with great insights and fabulous sourcing for his scoops. The guests have all been great, and it’s a lovely mix of informative, cheeky and overall fun. The kind of podcast to enjoy a cuppa over. 10/10.

  • Did you seriously make an entire podcast to bully Meghan Markle?

It’s gross. She broke up with you, put a continent and an ocean between you, hasn’t been back except briefly, you got what you wanted - she’s gone. The fact that it’s been 6 years and you still won’t move on is giving my BIL putting sugar in my sister’s gas tank 5 years after the divorce. Your behavior is scary and distressing.

    Move. On.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Tragic Harry Just wants to Come Home
Q: What is the core issue driving the current conflict between Charles and William as discussed on the show?
The core issue is a power struggle over influence and direction for the monarchy, with Charles attempting to reaffirm control while William pushes to shape the next era of the royal institution, including how Beatrice and Eugenie are treated and how policy will be set once Charles's reign deepens.
How Preaching Meghan Exposed Her Own Hypocrisy
Q: In Spare, Harry blames William and Catherine for advising him to wear the Nazi outfit; you go further in your book—how do you explain Catherine's role in that moment?
I acknowledge that Catherine was involved in the group dynamics around the costume but emphasize the broader generation and cultural context; the incident is treated as a serious misstep amplified by media, and the conversation around responsibility is nuanced, not one-sided.
How Preaching Meghan Exposed Her Own Hypocrisy
Q: Christopher, your new book is called Kate rather than Catherine, which is what she preferred to be called—why did you choose that title?
The title reflects how, on this side of the Atlantic, she is universally known as Kate; polls in the U.S. and Britain show that usage, so I used Kate to align with common public reference while still acknowledging her formal title as Catherine.
Secrets of Trump's Weird Royal Fetish Exposed
Q: Why do you think Donald Trump seems to respect the royal family, almost seems to be the only person in the whole of the United Kingdom he does respect as a member of the royal family?
Robert Hardman suggests Trump's respect stems from a sense of historical continuity and shared symbolism with the monarchy, plus Trump's ability to separate the monarchy from partisan politics; he notes Trump's admiration for the Queen and the ceremonial power of the monarchy as an enduring, almost timeless institution beyond contemporary political frictions.
Why Desperate Meghan is Spiraling
Q: Meghan is spiraling. What exactly do you mean by that and what are your sources telling you about her mental state and the happiness of the couple?
The analysis suggests Meghan stays extremely busy but tends to move in many directions without a clear, consistent plan, leading to a perception of desperation and a lack of focus.
