This poem is like a splash of cold water in the face. Wake up and know what you know, what is real. Everything that can be lost will be lost. This is the essence of the Buddha's teachings in a few lines. Buckle up this is the ride of your life!
The Buddha recommended that we spend time with the Five Daily Recollections each and every day. They are a medicine for fear, greed, hatred, and confusion. By reflecting often and deeply on these truths a new freedom is born.
