  • Pretty good content, poor production, inconsistent realeases

I like John and Billy, even when I don’t agree with their takes.

It’s my opinion that production values are one way to demonstrate respect for your listeners, and I find that lacking here. Often, Billy is not using a professional mic, there doesn’t seem to be much editing, and the latest episode maybe wasn’t normalized and sounded way, way too soft. Had to turn volume to max just to be audible.

I like the show, would love more consistent and organized content, and definitely would suggest spe... more

  • Knowledgeable, good show but vane

John and Billy understand football and put together an informative podcast that I am thankful for. I wish they would spend less time stating obvious things, talking about themselves and “what they’re just trying to do” as podcasters- it comes up every episode somehow.

  • Best Panthers Podcast out here in these streets

Panthers are my guilty pleasure and I listen to all of them. They all have their positives. But ROAR hands down has the best anaylsis. They are fair and have great break downs. This is the podcast that I stop what I am doing to listen to period. Keep Pounding guys!

  • Balance needed

Sometimes very valid critiques, but often unbalanced on the negative side. A balance of positive and negative analysis of the team would make the podcast better. The unbalanced critique of the team does not leave the listener with an accurate view of the overall team at times.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Camp Digest: Ellis with the weekly eval + 1v1 w/ Princely Umanmielen and Rico Dowdle
Q: What was it like working with Bryce Young?
Bryce seems like a pretty chill guy, calm, doesn't do too much talking, just a cool cat.
Camp Digest: Ellis with the weekly eval + 1v1 w/ Princely Umanmielen and Rico Dowdle
Q: Do you model your game after anybody?
When it comes to rushing, I think I rush similar to people don't like when I say this, but Vaughn Miller.
Panthers Mid-Season Chat: 1-7....and what's next?
Q: Should Thomas Brown and Ajiro Evero garner more head coaching opportunities this off season or will we have them back?
I have a feeling they will both probably be back, but it depends on how the next few weeks go.
Panthers Mid-Season Chat: 1-7....and what's next?
Q: Is the lack of energy on offense an extension of Bryce or Frank's demeanor or something else missing?
I don't think Bryce needs to change the way he is; he was very successful at Alabama.
Panthers Mid-Season Chat: 1-7....and what's next?
Q: Are the offensive line troubles on the players or the coaching staff?
It's a collective effort. The left guard has been a trouble spot all season, and the scheme is different from last year.
