Reviews

4.7 out of 5 stars from 44 ratings
  • Confusing

The host keeps taking the topic back to their various Sniffies hookups while the guests desperately try to get the conversation back on track. There is no focus to this show, it’s completely scattershot.

Tarpson also frequently eats while the guests are talking. I don’t have misophonia but hearing this guy talk with his mouth full makes me actually cringe.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 101 — Justice For Malki (Featuring Arnold Roth)
Q: Mr. Roth, the people behind your daughter's murder and the slaughter of so many others belong to a death cult. What's your take on that broader context?
Roth emphasizes the moral clarity of right and wrong, rejects excuses or political niceties, and frames justice as a non-negotiable core value guiding his advocacy for public accountability and ongoing pursuit of extradition and legal remedies.
Ep. 105 — Putting Them Before Us (Featuring Katy Faust)
Q: What are the three core areas where a child's rights differ from adult desires, especially in adoption and family formation?
Faust identifies access to a child's biological identity, a child's inherent right to a mother and father, and the stability provided by a married, two-parent home as foundational, arguing that these factors are central to a child's protection and development and are often disrupted by policy changes around surrogacy and same-sex parenting.
Ep. 105 — Putting Them Before Us (Featuring Katy Faust)
Q: First, tell us about Them Before Us. What's its mission and why launch it?
The mission is to prioritize the child's rights and interests in debates about family structure, surrogacy, and reproductive technologies, arguing that the child's well-being should guide policy and public discourse. Faust emphasizes a global focus on children's rights and the need to elevate the child's perspective in political conversations.
Ep. 129 - The American Book of Fables (with Matthew Mehan)
Q: Tell us about how you approached illustrating and coordinating the art with the text.
Mehan explains the long collaboration with illustrator John Folley, describing their shared process of creating Google Doc files that map illustrations to the book's symbolism and quotes, ensuring a unified vision that reinforces the virtues and themes of the text.
Ep. 106 — How Anti-White Racism Is Tearing America Apart (Featuring Jeremy Carl)
Q: How do you view the relationship between anti-white rhetoric and policy in practice?
He argues that anti-white sentiment is reflected in various policies and institutional practices, including discussions around civil rights enforcement, education quotas, and employment testing, and that these have real consequences for social cohesion and merit-based advancement.
