  • Relatable and accurate!

I loved it! My two biggest takeaways:

1-Anyone who has ever worked in this industry will instantly relate. I kept catching myself shaking my head or literally saying out loud, “Yep… that happened to me too!”

2- For anyone who hasn’t been in the trenches, this is such a perfect glimpse into our daily “work life.” I can’t count how many times over the years I’ve been asked, “So what do you actually do… just collect rent?” 😂

She Started With 30 Properties and No Keys-What It Taught Her About Leadership with Shannon Weber
Q: Tell us a crazy or unusual story from your life, that how you handled it and what you learned from it.
Shannon recounts starting Luna Properties with 30 properties and no keys, learning quickly to systematize operations: labeling and managing keys, securing leases, and handling a gas leak and a vacuum of lessons that led to a commitment to organized data, early risk management, and hands-on problem solving.
Property Management Finance Myths: True, False, or It Depends? with Janice Szymanski
Q: What makes occupancy alone an insufficient KPI for success?
Occupancy is important, but it's only one metric among many; healthy NOI depends on a balance of occupancy, rate management, retention, and cost control, so focusing on NOI provides a fuller picture of asset health.
The Lease Up Survival Guide & the Cat Story with Katherine Maestas
Q: How did you arrive at a people-before-product philosophy, and how has that shifted how you lead teams in multifamily?
She explains that leadership grows from modeling empathy, getting in the trenches with teams, and using action over words to earn trust, ultimately transforming how her teams perform and how residents experience the property.
