  • The First “Witchy” thing I’ve ever been able to relate to

I really enjoy the perspective this podcast employs. I have been acquainted with the concept of witchcraft or magic my whole life, as my mom introduced me to in at a young age. “With harm to none” and surrendering to the universe and the outcome, to letting go and the many trials of learning self belief… to losing that and trying to find it again, my mom has always had a peculiar and spooky insight that has helped me through the years. However, most books and people who claim wisdom in this subj... more

  • meh

Really wanted to like this. But as I am learning, every. single. witchcraft podcast is really just a bunch of self help hoo hah that has nothing to do with the fiery nature of most witches i know. This isn't a complaint about "woke" as I am not an idiot and only idiots talk that kind of moronic chit, because treating other people with respect isn't a negative and if you want to roll up in witchcraft spaces with that kinda language why don't you become and Odinist and stay in your little fascist ... more

  • Kinda woke

Seems like an interesting podcast however I think that there’s some woke liberal culture in this. Like in the smudging and stuff that may deal with things of color ethnicity or etc who cares I get the appreciation and ways of right and wrong of it but if a listener is a part of the various groups and want to learn more of their culture it should be included not white washed and be woke about it and help people learn their culture people do get interested plus don’t all lives matter not just blac... more

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on decolonizing you’re practice. I have been thinking about this but no ideas on what direction to take. Your podcast has given my thoughts some direction and a way for me to start decolonization g my practice & life.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. #174 Full Moon Focus: Fossil & Bone
Q: Did you hit any big challenges with this being an exploratory subject rather than something fairly tactile like tarot or spellcrafting?
I tend to take exploratory things and make them very tactile because I'm a hands-on learner. Adding in divination and visualization helps bring concepts from the mind into the physical.
Ep. #164: Candlenights | Night 7 - A Guardian's Tale
Q: Is that right?
Yes, hope for sure, and the action that hope empowers, the actions of protecting and caring for a natural world which was scarred and depleted for so long.
Ep. #158: Candlenights | Night 1 - A Dreamer's Tale
Q: What's the difference?
Protopia implies a world where we can exist in balance, working through conflict rather than in the absence of it.
Ep. #160: Candlenights | Night 3 - A Steward's Tale
Q: I imagine it's also about leaning into the seasonality of our practice?
Indeed, it emphasizes the need for aligning practice with seasonal cycles for holistic living.
Ep. #160: Candlenights | Night 3 - A Steward's Tale
Q: So the animals, nature, were the key to the dream?
The episode suggests that recognizing the roles of animals and nature is pivotal to understanding stewardship.
