  • Such useful info!

Thank you for the tips! Better than anything that you will learn in college. Good for new teachers and seasoned teachers. Love everything. I would recommend some updated gender inclusive language and practices especially because so many teachers follow what you do.

  • Fantastic Resource

Love listening to this show! I have found myself listening on my way to and from school! I would love to hear you guys talk about a “when the all plans fail episode” like when your gym gets taken for picture day or whatever else and it’s raining outside so you are stuck in the classroom or a small space!

020 Ben on the Pizza and PE Podcast - Origin Story, Building a PE Program and Work Life Balance
Q: How do you manage balancing your work and family life?
It’s unperfectly managed. I batch work during certain days and ensure that family time is prioritized, especially with all kids eventually going to school.
020 Ben on the Pizza and PE Podcast - Origin Story, Building a PE Program and Work Life Balance
Q: What was the driving force behind putting the PE Specialist out there?
It stemmed from my desire to share tools and resources I wished I had when starting out, motivated by my experiences and a lack of resources for new PE teachers.
020 Ben on the Pizza and PE Podcast - Origin Story, Building a PE Program and Work Life Balance
Q: When did you know you want to be a PE teacher?
I loved PE growing up but didn't think about teaching until college when I realized I didn't want to sit at a desk all day. I switched my major and fell in love with teaching elementary kids.
