I’ve listened to many of the water podcasts out there, and sometimes they are too wonky or too earnest or too alarmist. Outfall hit the Goldilocks spot and became my instant favorite. It’s just the right mix of nature, tech and culture. Plus the hosts have gorgeous southern accents that flow like a river. Be sure to start back at the first episode so you can find out through which orifice lost weight leaves the body … and what happens to astronaut poop from the International Space Station.
Even if you think you know something about water, this show will bring to light new and interesting facts that you may have never before considered. What a great way to spend a few minutes and broaden your understanding of our most precious natural resource.
I had listened to one particular episode quite a while ago, then subscribed, then ignored this gem of a forum for conversations among knowledgeable experts in many water-related topics. Thanks to covid-19 and time to get caught up with podcasts, I have listened to one or two each day and will want to listen to many of these again. A lot of unexpected and fascinating things to learn from these folks!
This podcast will truly change your perspective on water and its role in our world. Each guest is fantastic and always brings fascinating information to the conversation. I highly recommend!
Great podcast from professionals in the water industry. Subjects range from climatology to entomology, but the tie that binds is always water. Anyone interested in these topics will enjoy the material presented. As a water professional myself, the subjects they present are definitely in my “personal” interest window. more
