Such a good show and better than most of the popular podcasts. How this is only one season I’ll never know. Should be more
Please for the love of great story telling, make more!
This show is a lovely little gem. For those of you into APs getting into a new show can be a commitment, but this scripted podcast captures the spirit of playing at a table with friends new and old alike and doesn’t take sessions upon sessions to get good. It’s stellar from the start and leaves you wanting more. Here’s hoping they make a season 2!
I love the characters & storyline. Please make more!!
This series made me appreciate Dungeons and Dragons so much. In the first 5 minutes of the first episode, I felt immersed in the story. I loved how it blends and meshes between the game and the people. It allowed for some really funny interactions when connected with the story, and set up for two stories pack all into one. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone that loves rpgs or that love comedic friendship stories.
This has truly been one of my favorite podcasts! I couldn’t stop listening. Excited for the future!
It took a while to get used to the style of storytelling, but when I did I was drawn into a truly amazing world. I thoroughly enjoyed the series so far and I can’t wait for further seasons.
This series is a funny and engaging meta-exploration of Dungeons & Dragons and friendship—with all the ups and downs that go along with both worlds. Get ready for captivating performances from the cast, action sequences brought to life by meticulously designed sound collages, and a story with a true heart and soul. Not to mention a healthy dose of the fantasy genre written with a 21st century ethos.
This is an awesome podcast. I was looking for something new to listen to and in this I found two great stories for the price of one.
I don’t like actual play podcasts so I was a bit concerned at first but I was quickly bowled over by this. I like the interactions between the adventurers and the gamers. It also doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Great podcast.
I’ve come to love actual play podcasts like Neo-scum and Adventure Zone, but it’s been a struggle to find more that I actually engage with.
I stumbled on the first two episodes of The Ordinary Epic when the were featured on Radio Drama Revival and I was immeasurably hooked.
It’s a great blending of two forms of podcast and features the best of both worlds. Both sets of characters are exciting and captivating. I simply cannot wait to see what happens next with all of them.
Brilliant. Just brilliant.
Not the usual podcast that I listen to but was hooked from the first episode and has lead me to more D&D style podcasts
Two wonderful stories about a world of fantasy and the players who inhabit it. I’ve met and played with all of these characters before, and it’s great to see the problems of the players reflect into the play, sometimes on the nose and other times subtlety!
Really funny and very entertaining! I discovered the transcripts and it really enhances the experience, highly recommend!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Not even sure how I found this show but it’s been really enjoyable. Great story and great voice acting.
