My long-term interest in surgery began while I was involved in a project to create a medical device, keeping patients warm during surgery.

My experiences in mentoring at Georgia Tech and my desire to help underrepresented pre-med students motivated me to create a platform for mentorship.

Q: Why did you choose medicine as a field for your doctoral studies?
Patient interaction drew me to medicine. The opportunity to help individuals directly and sometimes in challenging situations is what makes the medical field unique for me.
