The narrator sounded like she’s never read a script before, the stilted speech is just awkward and jarring. You know that kid in the class who when they read they just read in a flat robotic way? The entire thing is a girl doing that. It’s so flat and ruins immersion. I stopped caring about the narrative and was just boggled as to how they heard this and thought “Perfect, this is a solid product!”
The Moon Crown is a compelling horror-mystery-thriller set in a strange mirror-world inspired by Filipino mythology. The lead actor gives an incredible, mesmerizing performance as Lou, a truth-seeker locked in an intense battle with her personal demons, both figurative and literal. The other voice actors also do a great job, especially as the tension ramps up.

Compelling and complex narrative, creepy binaural sound jumpscares. A rich world I'm looking forward to hearing more of.
Everything from the sound design to the quiet but vengeful narrator shows exactly what you're getting into when you start this show! It checks off all the things people want in horror but the storytelling can be quite passive at times.
Altogether a great one voice audio drama for the horror fans out there!
This is a peculiar quirky podcast that has left me intrigued and keen to continue .
The darkness is never empty, there are creatures that inhabit that space just outside your periphery. Embark on this journey of discovery with Lou seeking answers.
