  • This podcast is extremely good and it's possible that I binged the whole thing in an embarrassingly short period of time. At the basic tech level, audio quality is solid, editing is sharp, and the sound design ties everything together beautifully. But that's not why you're here. You're here because the cast has great chemistry and aren't afraid of putting their characters through some shit. You're here because the storytelling is aces and the keeper has built a world that feels so full that it's... more

  • A Monstrously Good Time

It is always tricky to get the audience onboard to a game when you've already been playing it for some time, but this podcast does an amazing job of it. The audio drama special where they recap their first season is a tremendous help and very well done! The show itself is filled with fast paced story and an assortment of characters that are already fleshed out and ready to come to life. The music for the show is fantastic and really helps give the story even more life. Definitely recommend this ... more

  • Excellent podcast and excellent interpretation of the game's rules and mechanics. The story is fun and the characters are given many spotlight points. The members have excellent engagement with their listeners and are very welcoming and genuine.

In terms of the game, the stories are a series of small myth-arcs but they still mostly hit the Monster of the Week standard of ending almost every session in a knockout brawl.

  • The Monster's Playbook is great!

Another Monster of the Week podcast, another great show!

The Monster's Playbook is about three (eventually five) Hunters, Kira Ashwood, Mark Clayton, and Casey Davis, as they work together to try to stop bad supernatural things from happening in Minnesota and beyond!

Mark, Kira, and Casey (and eventually Theo and Anna) work well together as a team, each playing to their strengths and giving Jonny (the Keeper) the opportunity to pose complex moral choices. Jonny also does a magnificent job kee... more
