The world isn’t kind to dreamers. Like any boy of the radio era, Leonard Allen dreamed of hitting big in New York and Hollywood; to write or host that one big show that would make everyone notice. Even after he had his chance at both, that dream still burns inside him. He’s always been able to spark the divine somewhere in his work. And he’s been noticed. He doesn’t know the lengths people will go... more

This audio drama is really well produced but I have issues with the writing. The themes this story has on hand with an old man (as a main character!) getting a second chance is great. But why didn't they do more with it? Instead we have a obscure mix of different elements that don't work so well together. Why is a radio show needed for a goddess? It just feels all a bit forced and the episodes too long, especially the After Dark sections. The tone is too quirky.
this a well written and well produced podcast.
The only down side was the 1950s "After Dark" segments, similar to the real old time radio productions meaning the sound quality was harsh and tinny, but authentic.
As far as I can tell there’s no thematic link between the old radio shows and the events happening to the protagonists. So, the tribute to old radio shows feels overindulgent and extraneous to a wraparound story that’s just haphazard.
Humor, occult and homage to golden-age radio in perfect balance.
I thought the beginning was how the entire story was going to be told but it got modern quick. The story picks up pace and gets quickly creative.
