  • Intellectually lacking

The shows host are to frequently mis using language and tend ramble incoherently. Leaving the listener wondering what they mean. The show tries my patients when listening.

  • Tunnel visioned.

It’s a good left leaning show, with great insights, but could be so much if there were more variety in viewpoints. It’s hard for them to get to the bottom of anything with just one view point. They don’t seem to fully understand the dynamics of other countries and are willing to overlook information to pile on blame to the right.

  • Two good, one bad

I love the show. Sometimes I listen daily, sometimes I miss it for a while and then listen to everything I missed. Emma rules. Sam rules. The guests need some work. Emma and Sam know how to speak and deliver because there is actually some intentional broadcasting on their part. Perhaps a Majority Report employee can coach the guests, who spend less time broadcasting, on being a little stronger. on mic. Step one: be mindful of the vocal fry. The constant trailing off into sentence long, low pitch... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

3701 - Ohio GOP Abuse scandal; Reconstruction's Black Countermemory w/ Robert Bland
Q: Who were the central figures in the counter-memory Bland discusses, and why are they important?
Bland discusses William Whipper and Robert Smalls as two poles of Reconstruction memory: Whipper represents the educated, northern-leaning Black leadership who engaged in politics and lawmaking, while Smalls embodies the working-class, southern-based leadership who physically led a daring civil-military maneuver and later held political power. Their stories illustrate how Black leaders navigated Reconstruction, fought for public education, and laid foundations for multiracial democracy even as Jim Crow took hold.
3701 - Ohio GOP Abuse scandal; Reconstruction's Black Countermemory w/ Robert Bland
Q: Could you give us the basic outlines of Reconstruction and why the Low Country matters?
Bland explains Reconstruction as the period from 1865 to 1877 when the United States attempted to rebuild the nation after the Civil War, establishing multiracial democracy through the Reconstruction Amendments and federal efforts like the Freedmen's Bureau. The Low Country is highlighted as a key site where early post-slavery institutions, education, and counter-memories formed, shaping enduring political and cultural dynamics that influenced later civil rights struggles.
3699 - Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Joins Us In Studio
Q: How has your climate policy evolved, especially in relation to data centers and urban health?
The policy now emphasizes majoritarian appeal by tying decarbonization targets to job creation, environmental justice, and community health impacts, not just abstract science.
3699 - Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Joins Us In Studio
Q: Have you been surprised by the buzz around your candidacy and polling numbers?
Yes, it has been surprising, but the response is rooted in a broader sense of frustration and demand for change among voters.
3703 - Abdul Beats AIPAC; Trump's IRS is Imploding w/ Stephanie Mencimer
Q: Stephanie, what prompted you to pursue a story on the IRS and its funding?
Mencimer explained that personal experiences with tax administration, compounded by wider reporting, revealed systemic disfunction and a pattern of underfunding that affects everyday taxpayers, not just big cases, which motivated the piece.
