  • Intellectually lacking

The shows host are to frequently mis using language and tend ramble incoherently. Leaving the listener wondering what they mean. The show tries my patients when listening.

  • Tunnel visioned.

It’s a good left leaning show, with great insights, but could be so much if there were more variety in viewpoints. It’s hard for them to get to the bottom of anything with just one view point. They don’t seem to fully understand the dynamics of other countries and are willing to overlook information to pile on blame to the right.

  • Two good, one bad

I love the show. Sometimes I listen daily, sometimes I miss it for a while and then listen to everything I missed. Emma rules. Sam rules. The guests need some work. Emma and Sam know how to speak and deliver because there is actually some intentional broadcasting on their part. Perhaps a Majority Report employee can coach the guests, who spend less time broadcasting, on being a little stronger. on mic. Step one: be mindful of the vocal fry. The constant trailing off into sentence long, low pitch... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

3687 - Trump Hijacks Science Funding; Minnesota's Senate Race w/ Elizabeth Ginexi, Peggy Flanagan
Q: What does this rule change do to the governance of scientific funding?
It centralizes control in the hands of political appointees, bypassing scientific peer review and potentially canceling grants that do not align with administration priorities, effectively politicizing science funding.
3688 - West Bank Pogroms Intensify; Major Primary In Arizona w/ Jasper Nathaniel, Kai Newkirk
Q: What inspired you to run for Arizona's 4th district and how does your criticism of incumbent policy shape your campaign?
Kai Newkirk emphasizes ending corporate money in politics, opposing endless military aid to Israel, and pushing for Medicare for All and tuition-free college, arguing that the district deserves representation aligned with progressive values and a commitment to human rights and anti-genocide policies.
3684 - Israel Is Not Invincible; Socialist Runs In Kansas City w/ Mairav Zonszein, Hartzell Gray
Q: Now, of course, this is a rhetorical break, not a material one in terms of arm sales to Israel and yet from what you write, much of Israeli society has responded with this indignation. Can you tell us about that reaction?
Zonszein explains that Israeli public reaction is deeply tied to how the US-backed security framework is perceived, with a shock to Netanyahu's base as Trump's policy stance shifts and as Vance raises controversial points about Israel's military approach and the US-Israel relationship.
3670 - How Race Shadows the Nation's Anniversaries w/ Eddie Glaude, Jr.
Q: How do you envision breaking the cycle of avoidance when confronting these painful chapters of history?
By insisting on truth-telling over ceremonial consensus, and recognizing that democracy requires addressing violent and systemic injustices rather than preserving comforting myths.
3670 - How Race Shadows the Nation's Anniversaries w/ Eddie Glaude, Jr.
Q: What is it about anniversaries that provides a good opportunity for assessment and reflection on the American project?
They highlight long arcs of inclusion and exclusion, showing how national myths are built and where they fall short, especially in relation to racial justice and political rights.
