Love the pod but can’t give you all 5 stars today… please check the official NMJL rule book about calling a tile! Players’ memories, no matter how seasoned the players, are often flawed. Until the tile is racked the tile may be called, and the word ”call” is not the only way to make the table stop to give a player time to consider what to do.
The Maj Bros podcast is an absolute must-listen for anyone who loves Mahjong! Every episode is packed with great strategy, entertaining stories, plenty of laughs, and a genuine passion for growing the Mahjong community. Their chemistry is unmatched, and they make you feel like you’re sitting at the table with friends.
I am already going through anticipatory World Cup withdrawal and the Mahj Bros are just the answer. We agree that thinking about mahjong can take up all the mental space that the World Cup is going to leave behind. There’s drama. There are debatable calls. And it’s a beautiful game. If you’re not listening to The Mahj Bros. you are missing out.
Such a fun and informative podcast! I had tried two other mahjong podcasts prior and just couldn’t get into them, but was instantly hooked when I listened to the first episode of The Mahjcast. Jason and Ira are very entertaining and also give great tips and perspectives on the game. This is an absolute must listen for any mahjong enthusiasts out there!
Jason & Ira are a stellar team. This podcast is so fun to listen to, whether you're a seasoned Mahjong player or a newbie. They make the game relatable to everyone. I look forward to every episode!
