A noble wrestler wears his Luchador mask like the vestment of his proud integrity—but does it hide a secret underneath?!
Join El Fuego Fuerte and his young, defiant teammate as they valiantly wrestle masked vampires from Mesoamerican mythology and gangsters in—and out—of the arena.
Punchy and fresh, the original mix of the lucha libre wrestling world (with voice acting debut of professional wrestlers too) and the paranormal is as compelling as El Fuego Fuerte’s mysterious fashion choice.

I’m so hooked on this!!! Genius!
Looking forward to the next season!!!
I asked small podcasts to pitch their shows to me on r/audiodrama, and the creators behind the Luchador responded. This is way outside the usual stuff I listen to- I don't know a lot about Mexican culture, Lucha, or vampires, I guess- but I am so glad to have learned about this show.
I churned through the first season in 2 days and it is so obvious listening how much heart was put into this. The wrestling terms are beyond me but the narrator and Fuego Fuente are so charismatic and the villains ... more
I wasn't sure about this podcast at first since I don't know much about this kind of narrative, but I was hooked from the first episode. It's accessible to anyone new to the genre, the narration of the fights are energetic, and a lot of care and love went into the production of the show. Plus it includes guest voices from actual professional wrestlers!
How could you not love the concept of Mexican wrestling AND vampires?! I love it. It's such an original idea and a great find in the sea of audio dramas that are typically featured in the United States/United Kingdom. You can hear the love of Lucha Libra through the flawless sound design and the voices from all the actors. Hope to see another season soon!
If you're looking for a scripted podcast that's refreshingly different and vibrant as hell, look no further!
I listened to the entire first arc in about 2-3 days and I absolutely loved it! The blending of luchador stories and audio drama is a fantastic match, and the entire thing vibes like old-style radio show audio drama, with a flare of newer podcasting tossed in! I wondered at first if they'd be able to capture the spirit of excitement you get from watching wrestling in an audio-only medium,... more
This is a fun show that brings back nostalgia of the wrestling era of the 80s and 90s. It is very fun and I enjoy it! Keep up the great work!
So much fun with vivid, engaging characters of varying degrees of seriousness that come together for compelling story. Now, “a radio drama where luchadores battle the supernatural” doesn’t sound like your new favorite podcast, but like those luchadores themselves you’re in for a surprise. Biggest complaint is that it’s biweekly and I’m impatient.
Super fun, well written and endlessly entertaining. Do yourself a favor and pipe this into your ear holes right now!
This is such a unique and specific world. I found it fascinating. And the sound design is solid. Thumbs up! (Tony - Strange Air Podcast)
Compelling story told by some of my favorite wrestling voices! Great idea for a podcast!
Special words, giveaways. The podcast was a #goodcopmoment as it was anyways but we all have even more reason to listen now! Great debut episode with some great cameos.
I don’t know much about wrestling, particularly the world of luchadors, so I found this podcast a unique window into that world - which is also full of fun and entertaining supernatural magic and mystery! Definitely recommend to fans of scripted podcasts, genre fans, and of course wrestling fans as well!
Probably one of the most unique audio dramas I've seen in a bit. Love it. Great concept.
