In a body of work that spans 18 films and 4 decades, The Ladykillers has the reputation for the being a singular low point in the Coen Brothers' career, but does it really deserve that reputation? It was Joel and Ethan's first straight up remake, but... more
Intolerable Cruelty (2003) was the Coen Brothers' first work-for-hire project in Hollywood. Initially just a script polish, they eventually took over the director's helm as well. While they definitely left their stylistic stamp on this divorce lawyer... more

Can't believe Babs @BabsVan is on twitter defending Alice Munro, a woman who allowed a man to repeatedly r*p* her daughter. I will never read Munro's works again, nor will I continue to listen to a poscast featuring a woman so vile she's saying we just need to give Munro time for this to settle down. Pedophilia is wrong and to support the monsters who aid pedophiles in their terror should be publicly shamed and exiled.
Lots of fun to revisit all of the Coen Brothers’ films. All the hosts and guests are knowledgeable and erudite. The lively conversations make you think and reconsider parts of the films you might have missed.
Really like this when they are focused on the movie - but there are too many side conversations that have little or nothing to do with the movie. I feel like the episodes would be better/tighter if more of that stuff is edited out. Look forward to upcoming episodes!
