The Legacy Music Hour podcast was created by Brent Weinbach and Rob F. for the purpose of sharing and talking about video game music from specifically the 8-bit and 16-bit eras. No remixes, no covers, no video game inspired music -just pure, original music from the NES, SNES, Genesis, and more.

Another LMH year (plus one extra month) in the books. Brent and Rob count down their top ten (third and fourth generation) tracks that they discovered within the year, and Gabe counts down his top three. This mixtape is loaded with great music.Down... more

This episode's theme is repetition. That means tracks that use repetition as an element of the music. For example, this helps add an element of suspense and fear for tracks such as "Stage One" from Alien 3 or "Delusion (Round 3-2)" from Zombie Nation. ... more

The OG Chiki Chiki Boys of video game music podcasts! The longest running, hardest working, kings of the 3rd and 4th generation era video game music. Whether they’re trading tunes, jamming on user submitted video game karaoke, or chatting with monsters in their pockets, you know you’re in for a good time.
This is one of the best VGM podcasts out there. No substitutes. Brent and Rob are hilarious and Gabe is an insightful wealth of knowledge.
The mixtapes are also great for random activities and I’ve used them more than a few times on runs or working out.
You can’t go wrong, ding dong. Listen to LMH!
A wealth of an audio catalog of mixtapes and highly informed and entertaining discussion. I’m a new listener. The deeper I dive into the years of old eps, the more I appreciate these cool people for their efforts. As a retro gamer and musician, this is priceless!
These guys combine deep retrogaming experience with the most easygoing and unforced chemistry you can imagine. The tunes themselves are well chosen and are often hypnotic and poetic in equal measure. But I listen for the comedy content. Recommend the episode "Creed II" if you're looking for a good jumping on point.
