Hi- I enjoyed listening to you after finding the podcast from the latched mama website. This last episode was terrible though. Swearing and taking dirty really turned me off. If you want to talk like that, have your ratings reflect that. Good thing my kids weren’t able to hear. I’m sorry I will never promote your podcast.
Melissa and Lindi are both moms, sure, but they aren’t experts in anything. If they actually brought in professionals to discuss motherhood/nursing/child behaviors/etc it may then be worth a listen. The few times a professional has been brought on…they seem to talk over them and don’t ask questions that moms really want answers to. This podcast is so disappointing! I’d love to see actual experts talking about topics that most moms connect with/want to hear about. Melissa isn’t an expert or even relatable as a mom.
Really wish they would bring on ACTUAL experts to talk about most of these subjects. Such a missed opportunity.
While I can appreciate the informal format of this podcast and its topics (and I enjoyed it in the beginning when I felt connected to Melissa and Lindi), it’s become harder and harder for me to view the personal anecdotes as helpful compared to more reputable researchers / hosts. I find it particularly off-putting when the LM Podcast hosts seem to put down other parenting podcasts or bloggers for their researched insights vs. “real moms” like them.
