I never can get enough of listening to everyone’s journey. It’s so motivating and inspiring. So many different stories and everyone’s path is so different. I can’t tell you how many movies I’ve gone and watched after hearing them talk about it. The Oscar specials are great too. I love watching and listening or visa versa. You really get a different way of seeing the talents.
Thank you for sharing these skills, it’s brilliant to learn how the make ups are done.
I’ve been a special effects makeup artist in IATSE for only four great years, I got in the union when I was 22 and wanted this to be my career since I was 14. I wish so badly that this podcast existed back then when I was a kid, but am so happy that this platform exists for young people that want to purse a career in hair and makeup in film and television. Every episode is so informative and inspiring, and Jaime is an excellent host. A great podcast for people in every stage of our industry!

This podcast has been my ultimate favorite since it first launched during pandemic. It kept my love of working in film/tv going when there was nothing going on. It inspires me every time I listen to it. I’m constantly picking up new tricks, or ideas to bring to work. Sometimes we feel like our work or job can be insignificant, and this reminds me daily we’re working with purpose.
This podcast serves up a behind-the-scenes peek into the world of costume design in a way that's engaging and full of insights.
