  • Boring with just Larry

I’ve been a longtime listener of WMAL and I loved the old format where Larry always had a guest host. The banter made it so entertaining! I especially miss Bethany and Patrice. Now that it’s just Larry, it’s SO boring and monotonous. I find myself looking for other shows to listen to in the morning. Bring back the Company of O’Connor and Company.

  • Disappointing

I really enjoyed when he had guest hosts. The light hearted banter and different opinions were nice. Now that it is just Larry it’s getting a little boring and monotonous. Why call it “O’Connor & Company” if it’s only him?

Cam Edwards on the Gun Bill 'Tsunami' in Virginia
Q: What proposals are you most worried about, and what would those proposals do to limit Second Amendment rights in Virginia?
Edwards highlights the storage mandate, a broad ban on sale and manufacture of commonly owned firearms, inclusion of a gun lock requirement in security measures, expansion of red flag policies, and concerns about transparency in ERPO petitions, all of which he argues would significantly restrict gun ownership in Virginia.
Cam Edwards on the Gun Bill 'Tsunami' in Virginia
Q: Give us a quick briefer on these gun-control bills and what's going to happen with the Governor's amendments.
Edwards explains that about twenty gun-control bills passed, with Spanberger offering amendments whose specifics were not disclosed publicly, and that the General Assembly will need to decide whether to accept these changes before the referendum takes place, likely leading to a delay and additional political maneuvering.
Cam Edwards, Katy Perry & Justin Trudeau, Alex Adams, Swalwell Booted from House
Q: What is the status of the governor's amendments to the gun-control bill?
Governor Spanberger has proposed amendments to clarify which firearms are covered and to adjust how the bill is implemented, with the General Assembly expected to review these changes and potentially vote again.
Cam Edwards, Katy Perry & Justin Trudeau, Alex Adams, Swalwell Booted from House
Q: Can you summarize the major gun-law proposals being considered in Virginia?
The major proposals include a ban on commonly owned firearms through a magazine/ban framework, a one-size-fits-all storage mandate, gun-lock requirements alongside safes, expansion of red-flag protections, and broader eligibility for red-flag orders, which together aim to restrict access while raising questions about due-process and transparency.
Dr. Richard Samuelson on the Seeds of the American Revolution
Q: Where did the momentum for independence come from, and how did Thomas Paine influence it?
Momentum grew from combined economic grievances, legal arguments about taxation without representation, and a shift in public opinion influenced by pamphleteers like Thomas Paine; Paine's Common Sense provided a unifying, accessible rationale for independence that helped ligate disparate colonial voices.
