  • Honest review

My review is based on the one episode I have listened to. I loved the topic and the guest was very knowledgeable, but the host interrupted too much, some questions were redundant and unnecessary, and the episode was cut off very suddenly without closure. The sound quality was bad too. Again, this is based on one episode; I hope the rest it’s different. I would have wanted the Rabbi to have more freedom on expressing his ideas, but the host was somewhat controlling rather than guiding the convers... more

Friction Brings Sparks
Q: Okay, Sara's asking, you said that in marriage we need to come in as two wholes. My husband has a lot of pain from his childhood, and he refuses to go to therapy. How can I encourage him to become this whole self?
Helping him requires creating a safe space and approaching healing as a team rather than a mission to fix him; avoid judgment, invite collaboration, and focus on mutual support and open communication to gradually invite healing and growth.
Off The Derech Husband Q & A with Efrat Brazel Part 3
Q: Adina asks how to shift her mindset to actually respect her husband when respect feels tied to religion and is hard to find.
The suggested approach is to trace back to childhood roots of respect, understand regesh (emotion) and honor, and practice viewing her husband as someone who can give respect and be honored in non-religious domains as well; also to assess whether issues stem from other marital dynamics beyond Torah observance.
Off The Derech Husband Q & A with Efrat Brazel Part 3
Q: Noah asks how to navigate making decisions for the kids according to her values without pushing her husband out.
The guidance centers on honoring the husband as a respected partner, coordinating parenting around shared values, and involving him in conversations about education while modeling Emunah and respect.
Off The Derech Husband with Efrat Barzel Part 1
Q: How did you navigate the three religious commitments you initially held onto after marriage?
The guest describes choosing three core religious practices to hold onto, while negotiating her partner's different level of observance, ultimately seeking guidance from trusted mentors and family to sustain a home rooted in faith and love.
8 Seconds To Connect With Hashem
Q: In what way? Explain that.
The guest elaborates that women's spiritual path centers on everyday acts done with kavana, such as caring for family, managing the household, and presenting acts of Chesed as opportunities to bond with Hashem, turning daily routines into meaningful mitzvahs.
