I was really looking forward to hearing a live role-play of the Call of Cthulhu scenario “Cursed be the City,” where the investigative on Neanderthals. The show explores tabletop RPG campaigns with a strong emphasis on Call of Cthulhu and Delta Green, often blending dark horror with adventurous heists, cults, and supernatural mysteries. Episodes mix character-driven roleplay, improvisation, and humor as groups traverse haunted towns, jungle ruins, and other pulpy settings, sometimes featuring morally complex scenarios and high-stakes decisions. A consistent thread across recent samples is the balance between suspenseful storytelling and playful banter, along with vivid world-building and a penchant for pulp(a) flavor. Noteworthy is the collaborative, long-form RPG format that invites listeners to follow evolving campaigns, character arcs, and in-jokes over multiple sessions.
